Visionica Ltd. was founded in 2005 owing to financial support from the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) by a group of research scientists of the Adaptive Optics Laboratory (Physics Department of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University). The company is headed by the senior researcher, “NATO Science for Peace Prize - 2003” laureate, Andrey Larichev.

During the last two decades we (the staff of Visionica Ltd.) participated in many applied research projects, accumulating the R&D experience in the fields of adaptive optics, microelectronics, and ophthalmologic equipment. Once the critical mass of such experience was exceeded, we became encouraged to start the business of our own.

The devices we developed and manufactured before founding Visionica Ltd. are now being successfully operated at the State Research Institute of Eye Diseases (Moscow), the S.N. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery State Institution (Cheboksary and Tambov branches), Swiss Federal Technological Institute (Zurich), Kestrel Corporation (Albuquerque, USA).

The strategy of Visionica Ltd. is based on the practical use of fundamental scientific results obtained in MSU and collaborating institutes of RAS (primarily, ILIT RAS).

The objective of Visionica Ltd. is developing, manufacturing, and supplying newest equipment to satisfy the needs of relevant branches of science, technology, and medicine.

We do believe that it won’t take too long for us to develop modern market-oriented business. The hopes rely on the efficiency of the chosen strategy and the high qualification of our researchers and engineers.
